Lingerie brand Ultimo picks real women over models

UK’s leading fashion designers lingerie and women’s wear brand, Ultimo recently signed seven 'real women' to represent its new lingeries collection.

Being insightful to the complaints from ordinary women that real need not mean fat, the firm organized a national level competition, where the firm received over 10,000 entries from several women, eager and willing to model for the brand.


The firm picked the seven finalists to be the new faces and bodies of the brand. This was the company’s second campaign where it shunned professional models to use the so-called 'real women'.


Michelle Mone OBE, CEO of Ultimo, who modelled for her own lingerie in a campaign last year, said that, they were inundated with applications during the last competition, and added that, all the women were very much excited and did a wonderful job.


The models picked by Ultimo vary in the age group of 18 to 31 years and ranged in sizes from 8 to 18.

'Incredible By Victoria's Secret Collection' - 5 ways to be Incredible!

The Angels greeted customers at the Victoria's Secret Soho Store introducing the new Incredible by Victoria's Secret bra pantie sets collection and fragrance.







Shoppers were encouraged to walk the Incredible pink carpet and enjoy the Incredible experience by trying on the bra and sampling the new fragrance, seeing for themselves what is so Incredible. They were given the chance to take an incredible photo with the Victoria's Secret Angels, and upload it to the Victoria's Secret Facebook Fanpage.


The New Incredible Collection by Victoria's Secret includes 5 different bra styles, so there are 5 ways to be Incredible! The silhouettes include the Demi, Push-Up, Front-Close Demi plus two new styles: The Front-Close Push-Up and Front-Close Multi-way.

Red Dress runway to kick off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week


The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) The Heart Truth campaign will once again bring the Red Dress to life on the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City, with the debut of the Red Dress Collection 2011. 




The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection 2011 will open Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center today (Feb 10, 2011). More than 20 celebrity participants will showcase the power of the Red Dress to encourage women to take action to protect their heart health. 




Featuring nearly 70 top fashion houses and 150 celebrities since its inception, this annual event made possible through a partnership with the fashion industry has helped to establish the Red Dress as one of the most recognizable health symbols in the country.




This year’s Red Dress Collection is presented by Diet Coke with national sponsor Swarovski and partners Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and AOL.

Eva Mendes tones up with Reebok



Actress Eva Mendes is showing off her assets while sporting the latest footwear and apparel from Reebok’s toning collection.
